Lacy Schneemann

Lacy Schneemann might have the most impressive day job of any player on the PPA Tour: she works as an aerospace engineer at Boeing in Los Angeles. Oh, and she also competes in professional pickleball full-time. No big deal. Schneemann grew up in San Angelo, Texas, and first started playing pickleball in 2015 with her father. She got fully committed to the sport in 2021, bringing her tennis background along for the ride - she played on the club tennis team at USC, where she was captain for two years.

Balancing a career at Boeing with professional pickleball is about as demanding as it sounds, but Schneemann makes it work. Her engineering mindset likely helps on the court too, where strategic thinking and problem-solving are just as important as athleticism. She's proof that you don't have to choose between a prestigious career and competitive sports - sometimes you can rocket-science your way through both.
