Tyler Loong

Tyler Loong is a professional pickleball player from Salt Lake City, Utah, best known as the "Erne King" for his ability to turn virtually any rally into an Erne opportunity. A BYU graduate with a degree in sociology, Loong worked as a sports manager in higher education before going pro at age 30. He's one of the few left-handed players on the PPA Tour, which gives his Erne attacks an extra element of surprise. In one legendary men's doubles semifinal at the PPA Las Vegas Cup, he hit 10 Ernes in a single match while partnered with Connor Garnett.

Loong has been playing pickleball for over seven years and competes on both the PPA Tour and in Major League Pickleball. He wields a Vulcan V1200 T800 paddle and runs a coaching business offering in-person sessions, video analysis, and strategy calls. When he's not on tour, he's at home in Utah with his wife Brittany and their two daughters, Ivy and Blair, binge-watching TV shows and plotting his next Erne. If you're standing too close to the kitchen line against Loong, you've already lost the point.
