Lauren Stratman is a professional pickleball player based in Austin, Texas, who ranks in the top 10 in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. A former Division 1 college tennis player who spent a year at Columbia University before transferring to Westmont College, Stratman was working as a full-time tennis coach when one of her students introduced her to pickleball in 2018. She entered her first tournament in February 2019, got hooked, and went pro the following year. By 2021, she'd already claimed the #1 spot on the APP Tour for women's players.
Stratman has built an impressive resume that includes a PPA Masters Women's Doubles finals appearance, a PPA Arizona Grand Slam Mixed Doubles finals run, and a bronze medal at the 2021 World Pickleball Championships alongside Patrick Smith. She's competed in over 55 professional tournaments across both the APP and PPA circuits, and she helped develop the Electrum Pro II paddle as a member of Team Electrum. At 31, Stratman is one of the most well-rounded players on tour, dangerous in every discipline.
