John Lucian Goins

John Lucian Goins is a teenage pickleball phenom from Bradenton, Florida who burst onto the PPA Tour scene with one of the most impressive breakout runs in recent memory. At just 17, Goins won gold in men's singles at the PPA Veolia Bristol Open as the 19th seed, becoming the highest seed to ever win a PPA title in that context. Even more impressive, he upset top-seeded Ben Johns in men's singles at the PPA Cape Coral Open, announcing himself as a legitimate threat to the established order.

What makes Goins's rise even more remarkable is that he's doing it while still in high school. A 5-star tennis recruit and avid chess player, he brings a strategic mind and elite athleticism to the court. Standing over 6 feet tall with heavy serves, deep returns, and excellent movement, his singles game is already among the most complete on tour. He's signed with JOOLA and uses the 16mm Perseus 3S paddle. His list of pro singles wins already includes names like Dylan Frazier, Gabe Tardio, and Grayson Goldin. At 17, most kids are worrying about prom. Goins is busy rewriting the record books.
