Donald Young

Donald Young is a Chicago-born professional pickleball player who arrived in the sport with one of the most impressive tennis resumes of any crossover athlete. A former junior world #1 at age 16, Young went on to have a successful ATP Tour career, reaching the 2017 French Open men's doubles final and making the 4th round in singles at the US Open in both 2011 and 2015. At his peak, he held top-50 rankings in both singles and doubles on the ATP Tour.

Now residing outside Atlanta, Georgia, Young brings his lefty spin, explosive speed, and quick hands to the pickleball court. His combination of athleticism and racquet sport instincts makes him one of the higher-ceiling crossover players in the pro pickleball scene, joining the growing list of former tennis pros like Jack Sock, Sam Querrey, and John Isner who have made the transition. With his pedigree and natural ability, Young is a player to watch as he continues to develop his pickleball game.
