Layne Sleeth is a Canadian professional pickleball player from Toronto who made one of the most dramatic sport transitions in recent pickleball history. A former NCAA tennis standout at the University of Oklahoma, Layne reached the final of the 2023 NCAA Singles Championship before an elbow injury forced her to rethink her path. Her mother suggested pickleball, and the rest is history. She now competes on the PPA Tour and in Major League Pickleball with the California Black Bears, bringing a fierce tennis-forged game to the fastest-growing sport in North America.

What makes Layne's athletic background truly unique is that she also played on an all-boys hockey team growing up, which built the endurance and aggressive mentality she carries onto the pickleball court. She's racked up over 170 career matches across 46 professional tournaments and has faced top talent like Genie Bouchard in PPA singles competition. Sponsored by Six Zero Pickleball, Layne is still in her early 20s and just getting started on the pro pickleball circuit.
