Mota Alhouni is a professional pickleball player originally from Tripoli, Libya, now based in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Alhouni represented Libya at the 2009 Mediterranean Olympics in tennis and ranked No. 3 nationally at Gustavus Adolphus College after moving to Minnesota in 2011. He transitioned to pickleball in 2023 and made an immediate impact, winning first place in mens doubles at his very first tournament, the PPA Lakeville event in February 2023. Within a month, he had cracked the top 50 world ranking. Alhouni often partners with his younger brother Mo, continuing their doubles chemistry from college tennis. With goals of reaching the top 5 in the world and competing on Championship Sunday, Alhouni brings an international tennis pedigree and fierce competitiveness to every match.
