Ross Whittaker is a professional pickleball player from Massillon, Ohio, who made the leap from college tennis to the pro pickleball circuit. Whittaker was the number one singles player at Walsh University, a Division II program, before picking up pickleball recreationally. He competed in his first PPA tournament in Cincinnati in 2022 and quickly climbed the rankings, reaching the top 25 in singles with wins over multiple top 10 players. Beyond competing, Whittaker serves as the director and lead instructor of pickleball at The Pickle Shack, a facility in central Ohio with over 2,000 members. He was also added to the MLP Columbus Sliders roster, combining his touring career with his coaching responsibilities. Whittaker plays right-handed and is known for his tennis-refined technique and competitive grit.
