Rob Cassidy

Rob Cassidy is one of pickleball's true OGs, having turned pro all the way back in 2013 when most people had never even heard of the sport. An IPTPA-certified coach and Co-Director of Ultimate Pickleball Academy (which he co-founded with Michelle Esquivel), Cassidy has been both competing and teaching at the highest levels for over a decade. His trophy case includes titles and medals from the International Indoor Championships, New York State Championships, Hawaiian Open, Toronto Cup Championships, and the US Open.

With a background in ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and ping pong, Cassidy brings an eclectic athletic toolkit to the court. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, which probably helps when he's coaching in over 30 states and 3 countries through programs like LevelUp Camps, EngagePickleball Camps, and Pickleball Getaways. His playing style blends power, precision, and mental adaptability, and he carries a 6.46 doubles rating that puts him among the elite. Cassidy is a true ambassador for the sport who's been growing pickleball since before it was cool.
