Stefan Auvergne is a French-born professional pickleball player who discovered the sport in 2021 at a CrossFit gym parking lot in Austin, Texas, and was competing in tournaments just three weeks later. Originally from France, Auvergne moved to the US at 18, earned a psychology degree from NC State and a computer science master's from Nova Southeastern University. Before pickleball, he was a professional gamer in Call of Duty 2 back in 2006 and played competitive tennis, giving him an unusual combination of fast-twitch reflexes and racquet skills.

Now sponsored by Selkirk, Auvergne competes on the APP Tour and in Major League Pickleball, where he's played for the D.C. Pickleball Team (alongside Sam Querrey), the Brooklyn Aces, and the New Jersey 5's. He earned silver at the 2023 APP New York City Open and counts beating all-time great Simone Jardim in his first mixed doubles tournament as a career highlight. A left-handed player with nearly 50 pro events under his belt, Auvergne brings a global perspective to the sport and dreams of representing France in pickleball if it ever reaches the Olympics. When he's not on the court, he's either racing cars at Circuit of the Americas or celebrating wins with fried chicken.
