Seone Mendez is an Australian-Argentinian pro who made the leap from professional tennis to pickleball and hasn't looked back. A former WTA-ranked player who climbed as high as #198 in singles and racked up 13 ITF titles, Mendez dealt with back injuries, financial strain, and the grind of the tennis circuit before discovering pickleball's blend of intensity and community. Now based in Miami, she's brought her powerful groundstrokes and elite court coverage to the PPA Tour, where she's already turned heads with a finals run at the 2025 PPA Challenger in Punta Gorda.
Mendez also made waves in the World Pickleball League (WPBL) Season 2, going undefeated in the league stage in women's singles for the Hyderabad Superstars. At just 25, she's one of the most exciting tennis converts in the sport, combining raw athleticism with a fearless competitive streak. Her tennis pedigree gives her an edge in singles especially, and it's only a matter of time before she starts collecting hardware on the pro tour.
