Marcello Paiva Jardim is a 26-year-old professional pickleball player from Espirito Santo, Brazil, currently based in Spain and competing across international tours. If the last name sounds familiar, that's because Marcello is the brother of pickleball legend Simone Jardim, who dominated the women's game as world No. 1 from 2016 to 2020. Marcello competes in men's singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, and has made his presence felt on the RTA Pickleball Tour in Spain, where he holds a ranking of 76th overall.
Jardim's most impressive results have come in singles play, where he won the Men's Senior Final at the English Open 2025, earning praise as an "absolute monster" on the court. He also teamed with Lisa Alipaz to win gold in Champions Pro Mixed Doubles (50+ division) at the 2025 USA Pickleball National Championships in San Diego, defeating Karin Ptaszek-Kochis and Youssef Bouzidi in a decisive three-game match. He's also competed in APP events including the Fort Lauderdale Open. With pickleball talent clearly running in the family, Marcello is building his own legacy across multiple continents.
