18 tournaments, 50 events.
Marcel Chan is a professional pickleball player and coach based in Kailua, Hawaii who has pivoted from grinding PPA qualifiers to becoming a global ambassador for the sport. On the competitive side, Chan competed in PPA Tour events in both men's doubles and singles, building experience against top-level talent. But it's his coaching career that's really taken off. After a tournament appearance at the AOPC in Vietnam in 2024, where he won doubles alongside partner Phuc Huynh, Chan found his calling in developing the sport across Asia.
Now working as a Facolos Global Team Coach, Chan splits his time between coaching Vietnamese and Malaysian pickleball players and creating instructional content covering technique fundamentals like the forehand flick and opening strategies. His transition from competitor to coach and content creator represents a path that more pros are starting to follow as pickleball goes truly international. Living in Hawaii gives him the perfect launchpad for bridging the gap between American and Asian pickleball.
