Chiron Burl

Chiron Burl is a professional pickleball player from La Canada Flintridge, California who made the jump from volleyball to pickleball with zero prior racquet sport experience. After 14 years of volleyball, Burl picked up a paddle and improved from a 2.5 to 5.5+ level in just three years, a trajectory that speaks to his raw athleticism and competitive drive. He's competed in PPA Tour events in both men's doubles and mixed doubles, including qualifying for a PPA pro main draw in mixed.

Off the court, Burl is a certified PPR instructor and full-time pickleball coach, working at venues like Palm Desert Resort and Toscana Country Club. He started playing with his parents Mike and Maureen as tournament partners, giving the whole thing a charming family origin story. His playing style features a strong forehand with a Far Eastern grip and an improving two-handed backhand, and he's been working with coaches to refine his mechanics and court positioning. Burl dominates the Coachella Valley scene and has his sights set on climbing the pro ranks.
